A capacitor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that stores electrical energy in an electric field. The effect of a capacitor is known as capacitance. While some capacitance exists between any two electrical conductors in proximity in a circuit, a capacitor is a component designed to add capacitance to a circuit.

We have sourced capacitors in a wide variety of materials and structures, variable electronic capacitor components, networks and arrays, dev kits and more.

An electrical connector, is an electro-mechanical device used to join electrical terminations and create an electrical circuit. Electrical connectors consist of plugs and jacks.

We have sourced connectors of all types, including D-subminiature, fiber optic, automotive, circular, audio and video, RF, telecom, power, and USB. We also carry a large selection of connector terminals and terminal blocks, as well as backshells and accessories of all types.

An inductor stores electrical energy in a magnetic field when electric current is flowing through it. Inductors are used in analog circuits and signal processing and are also called coils or reactors. Inductors connected to capacitors form a tuned circuit, which are widely used in RF equipment.

SRS provided inductor components from some top manufacturers. Shop a huge selection of leaded inductors, surface mount inductors and inductor kits.

Integrated Circuit (IC) is a set of electronic circuits on one small flat piece (or “chip”) of semiconductor material, normally silicon. The integration of large numbers of tiny transistors into a small chip results in circuits that are orders of magnitude smaller, cheaper, and faster than those constructed of discrete electronic components.

Light Emitting Diodes (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is utilize solid-state lighting technology to produce light through solid matter, essentially a semiconductor. It is a p–n junction diode that emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons.

A rectifier is an electrical device that converts alternating current (AC), which periodically reverses direction, to direct current (DC), which flows in only one direction.

A device for controlling the rate of working of machinery or for controlling fluid flow, in particular a handle controlling the supply of steam to the cylinders of a steam engine.

In automatic control, a regulator is a device which has the function of maintaining a designated characteristic. It performs the activity of managing or maintaining a range of values in a machine.

A voltage regulator is an electronic circuit that provides a stable dc voltage independent of the load current, temperature and ac line voltage variations. A voltage regulator may use a simple feed-forward design or may include negative feedback. It may use an electromechanical mechanism, or electronic components. Depending on the design, it may be used to regulate one or more AC or DC voltages.

Electronic voltage regulators are found in devices such as computer power supplies where they stabilize the DC voltages used by the processor and other elements. In automobile alternators and central power station generator plants, voltage regulators control the output of the plant. In an electric power distribution system, voltage regulators may be installed at a substation or along distribution lines so that all customers receive steady voltage independent of how much power is drawn from the line.

A relay is an electrically operated switch. Current flowing through the coil of the relay creates a magnetic field which attracts a lever and changes the switch contacts. The coil current can be on or off so relays have two switch positions and most have double throw (changeover) switch contacts.

We have relays in-stock and ready to ship for all applications, including Power, Reed, Signal, Solid State, Electromechanical, I/O Module and Time Delay, plus a wide variety of relay sockets, hardware and accessories.

A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In electronic circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses.

We have resistors in-stock for all applications including single surface mount, single through hole, trimmers, potentiometers and rheostats, as well as a variety of kits, networks and arrays, and other accessories.

A transformer is a device that is used to either raise or lower voltages and currents in an electrical circuit. SRS is sourced transformer components such as Audio Transformers, Signal Transformers, Current Transformers, Power Transformers, Pulse Transformers, RF Transformer, Switching Transformers and Telecom Transformers.

A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material usually with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit.
